Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackiez Chanz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alves comes to the cage accompanied by Tropa de Elite. Jackiez Chanz struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.2lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Daniel Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jackiez Chanz!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chanz pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Chanz fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Alves on the side of the head.
Chanz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Alves paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nice shot by Chanz.
Jackiez Chanz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chanz looks to land a combination but Alves avoids it well.
Alves wants to clinch.

Alves scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Sloppy strikes there by Alves.
Chanz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Alves. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Chanz takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Alves working the ground and pound.
Alves lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Chanz down.

Alves tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Alves has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Alves has hold of Chanz's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Chanz seems comfortable defending it but Alves has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Chanz is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Chanz is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Alves couldn't care less - he's delighted!
