Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Tank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Starr! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Bruno Lombardi and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Starr slips a jab and a cross from Tank.
Starr throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Tank works over Starr's head and body with a nice combination. Tank connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Tank tries a head kick but it misses.

Starr fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A head kick misses from Tank. Starr throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tank connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's one minute gone in the round. Starr blocks a jab. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Starr. Tank misses with a two punch combination.
Tank throws a left and a right that both miss
and Starr counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Starr. Tank trying to keep a closed guard but Starr is proving a slippery customer.
Tank has his foot on Starr's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Starr works his way back into a safe position though. Tank working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Starr doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Starr manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tank escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Starr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Tank is breathing heavily. Tank can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Starr controls the pace. I looks like Starr might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. Starr decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Starr scores with a nice body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Starr misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Tank throws a sloppy head kick and Starr counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Tank's guard now. Starr stays in close to Tank's body and controls the position. Starr wants to get up but he can't break Tank's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Starr sitting in guard here, content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Starr postures up in Tank's guard and throws a big left but Tank blocks it. Tank looking for a guillotine here but Starr defends easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Starr controlling from the top position. Tank working for a triangle but Starr defends it easily.
Starr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Starr gets to his feet. Tank looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Starr tries to clinch up. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Starr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Frank Tank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Starr. A head kick misses from Tank. Starr swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Tank. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Mike Starr will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Tank lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Starr backs up against the cage.
Frank Tank seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Starr throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Tank. Danga de danga de dang - Tank scores with a four punch combination! Starr swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tank connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Starr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tank's waist but Tank gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Starr off to one side. Tank misses with a combination
and Starr counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tank won't be happy with that. Starr stands up. Tank looks to score with a jab to the body but Starr is just out of range. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tank throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Starr counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Tank avoids the body shot from Starr.
Tank throws a combination that misses and Starr counters with a stiff right hand. Tank tries a head kick but it misses.
Starr drives through with a takedown into guard. Starr trying to control but Tank is working from the bottom. Tank looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Starr decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Tank, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A jab-cross combination lands for Tank and sends Starr crashing to the mat! Tank follows him down to the mat - Starr regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!
Starr is rocked! Tank frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Starr is still in real trouble! Can Tank finish him? Tank mounts Starr! Really nice guard pass there! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Starr is trying to escape the mount.
Starr seems to have recovered his senses. Starr wants to hold on but Tank pushes him away. Starr regains half guard. Tank is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Starr to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Tank is fighting to break Starr's control of his arms but Starr is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tank wants to stand but Starr is controlling his posture from full guard. Starr tries to land a sweep but no joy. Starr controlling Tank's posture. Tank tries to free his leg and advance position but Starr is retaining full guard. Mike Starr has got the better of the ground game so far. Tank wants to control from the top but Starr keeps moving. Tank is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Starr is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Starr has escaped and now he's on top! Starr pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Tank is keeping the position for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Tank wants to sweep but no luck. Tank is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tank is trying to hold Starr in close to prevent damage but Starr has managed to pass into half guard.
Tank slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Starr is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Starr tries to free his leg and advance position but Tank is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Starr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Starr tries to move into range but Tank moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Tank throws a sloppy head kick and Starr counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Tank! Starr sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Tank tries to lock up and control but Starr gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Starr controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tank is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Starr sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Tank sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Tank trying to hold on to Starr's head to control him but Starr postures up.
Starr is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Tank looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Starr trying to control the pace. Starr stops Tank from getting back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Tank is trying to get back to full guard. Tank manages to escape and get back to his feet! Starr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Tank paws at him with a jab and circles away. Tank misses with a double jab
and Starr counters with a series of strikes. Tank will be more careful next time no doubt. Starr tries to close the distance and clinch but Tank swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Frank Tank is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Starr throws a head kick that half lands.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tank throws a right and a left that both miss. Starr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Tank lands an overhand right. Tank fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Starr misses with a jab to the body
and Tank counters with a series of strikes. Starr will be more careful next time no doubt. Starr is looking to clinch. A combination from Tank does no damage. Tank displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Starr throws out the jab. Tank throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Starr counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Frank Tank has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Starr listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Starr is looking to clinch. Starr throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Tank's waist but Tank gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Starr off to one side. Frank Tank has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Starr. Tank throws a head kick that misses and Starr counters with a single leg into guard. Tank didn't expect that. Starr trying to control the position from guard on top but Tank is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Starr seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Tank not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Tank manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Starr manages to get himself to full guard.
Tank would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Starr comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Starr winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
