Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Greg Cola (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sinji Kagawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sinji Kagawa looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Cola! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sinji Kagawa! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cola gets in close and instigates a clinch. Cola is trying to force a seperation but Kagawa has the dominant position. Cola really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Kagawa tries for a takedown. No joy.
Cola wants to break free but Kagawa has control.
Cola changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kagawa fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Kagawa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cola is fending him off so far but Kagawa persists. Nope, Cola circles away and we're back to standing. Cola is looking to clinch but Kagawa is avoiding it.
Cola pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kagawa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Greg Cola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sinji Kagawa. Cola defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Kagawa. Kagawa looks gassed! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Cola closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Kagawa quickly recovers to half guard. Cola missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Cola looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Kagawa manages to get to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cola trying to control but Kagawa is working from the bottom. Kagawa looking for a guillotine here but Cola defends easily.
Cola won't allow Kagawa to sweep him here. Cola trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Kagawa can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cola controls the pace. Cola stands up over Kagawa, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cola trying to control but Kagawa is working from the bottom. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Kagawa is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cola advances to half guard. Kagawa is refusing to be controlled, as Cola sits in half guard. Kagawa wants to get back to full guard. Cola trying to control the action but Kagawa is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cola prevents Kagawa from improving his position. Kagawa makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kagawa. Kagawa keeping moving, preventing Cola from controlling successfully. Kagawa is looking to stand up but Cola isn't so interested in that idea. Cola seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Greg Cola. Cola misses with a head kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Cola closes the distance and clinches. Cola prevents a takedown attempt there.
Cola has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Kagawa avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Cola has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Kagawa is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Kagawa tries to pull guard but Cola won't allow it.
Cola wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kagawa gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Cola utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kagawa slips nicely into half guard. Kagawa wants to take a breather but Cola is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Greg Cola dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kagawa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Cola is trying to get back to his feet. Cola is trying to control Kagawa's posture but Kagawa avoids it. Kagawa working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Cola pushes Kagawa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Kagawa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kagawa lands a decent elbow from side control. Kagawa trying to control the action but Cola is working from the bottom. Kagawa controlling from side mount. Kagawa decides to stand back up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kagawa takes a jab right on the kisser.
Kagawa misses with a takedown so Cola counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Kagawa wants to sweep here but Cola controlling him for the moment. Cola trying to control the position from guard on top but Kagawa is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kagawa controlling Cola's posture. Cola trying to control but Kagawa is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Cola got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kagawa has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cola has managed to get both his arms back between Kagawa's legs - danger averted. Kagawa manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cola manages to get himself to full guard.
Cola wants to stand and escape but Kagawa is having none of it. Kagawa trying to control but Cola is working from the bottom. Kagawa lands a couple of elbows.

Cola had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kagawa defends it easily. Kagawa scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kagawa is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Kagawa scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kagawa showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Cola looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kagawa controls from within his opponent's guard. Kagawa missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kagawa lands a couple of elbows. Kagawa passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sinji Kagawa has got the better of the ground game so far. Cola taking a bit of punishment here - Kagawa scoring with strikes. Cola can't do much from the bottom here. Cola is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sinji Kagawa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Kagawa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Cola tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kagawa is in Cola's guard. Cola pulls Kagawa in close to prevent any damage. Cola controls Kagawa momentarily but Kagawa frees himself. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Kagawa is stalling in the full guard. Kagawa decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cola, up you get! Kagawa misses with a takedown and Cola moves into the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cola drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cola's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kagawa tries for a takedown but Cola circles away easily and Cola counters with a series of strikes. Kagawa will be more careful next time no doubt. Kagawa scores with a takedown into Cola's guard. Kagawa scoring with punches to the head and body. Cola keeping moving, preventing Kagawa from controlling successfully. Cola manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kagawa manages to get himself to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kagawa has his hands on Cola's head, controlling the position. Kagawa looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Sinji Kagawa has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Cola throws a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kagawa misses with a takedown attempt and Cola decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Kagawa's guard. Greg Cola has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sinji Kagawa. Kagawa tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kagawa is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cola stopping the sweep attempt from Kagawa. Kagawa looking to control.
Cola trying to move into half guard but instead Kagawa has managed to sweep! Cola is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kagawa defends well. Kagawa stays in close to Cola's body and controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cola is working an open guard so Kagawa takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Kagawa doesn't succeed with the takedown and Cola counters by clinching up. Cola tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kagawa smiles and moves away.
Kagawa has his takedown stuffed and Cola holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Cola is pressed up against the cage. Kagawa has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Cola down to the mat. Cola avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Kagawa drives through with a takedown into guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kagawa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kagawa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kagawa sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Sinji Kagawa comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kagawa has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
