Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Horus The Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson comes to the cage accompanied by Skyscrapers - Ready, Set, Fall!. The Hawk has chosen August Burns Red - Meddler as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Horus The Hawk! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Hawk on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Nice sprawl there from The Hawk as Anderson shoots in. The Hawk just misses with a punch to the body.
Anderson throws a low kick but The Hawk avoids it. The Hawk gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. The Hawk gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. The Hawk swivels though and keeps the full guard. Anderson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as The Hawk works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The Hawk tries to land a sweep but no joy. Anderson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. The Hawk is keeping the position for now. Anderson wants to stand but The Hawk is controlling his posture from full guard. The Hawk is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. The Hawk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson trying to control but The Hawk postures up.
Anderson moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. The Hawk missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Anderson punching from the bottom. The Hawk won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The Hawk won't allow Anderson to sweep him here. The Hawk slips nicely into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. The Hawk wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working. Anderson wants to get back to full guard. Anderson missing with punches from the bottom.

Anderson wants to control but The Hawk is keeping busy and won't allow it. Anderson wants to improve his position but The Hawk is controlling well.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. The Hawk works his way into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anderson is trying to control The Hawk's posture but The Hawk avoids it. Anderson stops The Hawk from passing to mount. Anderson is trying to get back to half guard. Anderson is working hard here to advance position. The Hawk is staying tight to Anderson's torso, preventing him from escaping. Anderson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as The Hawk sits in half guard. Anderson is looking to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Anderson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of The Hawk's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take The Hawk's back! The Hawk is having to fend off submission attempts from Anderson, who is looking to sink in the choke. Anderson doesn't have the hooks in though and The Hawk manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Anderson looking to control.
Anderson wants to sweep but no luck. Anderson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The Hawk tries to free his leg and advance position but Anderson is retaining full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Anderson wants to sweep here but The Hawk controlling him for the moment.
Anderson Anderson has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. A left and a right from Anderson both land. Nice combination. Anderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Anderson Anderson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Anderson moves out of range as The Hawk strikes. Anderson swings away with a leg kick that misses. Anderson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but The Hawk moves out of range and avoids them all easily. A slow jab from The Hawk misses its intended target. Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch but The Hawk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. The Hawk misses the shot to the body. The Hawk shoots in for a double leg but Anderson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Anderson moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Anderson thows a left - swing and a miss! Anderson throws out a loose jab but The Hawk uses good head movement to avoid it. Anderson looks to land a left hand but The Hawk moved out of range nicely. Anderson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson misses the shot to the body. Anderson just misses with a punch to the body.

and Anderson counters with a shoot takedown. The Hawk fights it but they end up in guard. The Hawk seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Anderson is looking to advance position but The Hawk has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is looking to improve his position but The Hawk isn't that keen on the idea. Anderson tries to improve his position but instead The Hawk has taken his back! Anderson turns into The Hawk and is now in his guard.
Anderson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The Hawk keeping moving, preventing Anderson from controlling successfully. Anderson has gone for a leg lock! The Hawk slips out almost immediately though and dives into Anderson's guard. The Hawk won't allow Anderson to sweep him here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking for a triangle but The Hawk pushes his legs off easily.
Anderson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The Hawk postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Anderson keeping moving, preventing The Hawk from controlling successfully. Anderson looking for a sweep. Not yet Anderson, not yet. Anderson is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Anderson wants to stand up but The Hawk is controlling him. The Hawk engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
We're going to have a standup here because Anderson Anderson wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. The Hawk lands a glancing blow to the side of Anderson's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The Hawk throws a lazy right hand but Anderson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Horrible takedown by Anderson or perhaps it was just good defense by The Hawk which made him look bad. Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown but The Hawk manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anderson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The Hawk has his takedown stuffed and Anderson counters with a straight right hand. The Hawk throws a hook but Anderson blocks it. Anderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Anderson misses with a takedown and The Hawk counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anderson Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between The Hawk's hands. Anderson stuns The Hawk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. The crowd cheers as Anderson lands an impressive looking overhand right. The Hawk doesn't seem phased though. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Anderson. Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but The Hawk avoids it really well and circles away. Anderson Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Anderson misses with a body kick. Anderson Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The Hawk takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. The Hawk throws a looping overhand right but Anderson ducks down to avoid it. Anderson is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Anderson darts in trying to clinch and The Hawk counters with a nice body shot. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anderson looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. The Hawk shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Anderson sprawls well. Anderson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. The Hawk gets slowly back to his feet. The Hawk tries for a takedown but Anderson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Horus The Hawk showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Anderson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from The Hawk. The Hawk gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Anderson counters with a takedown into side control. Anderson thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Anderson trying to control the position but The Hawk is working away. Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by The Hawk, who protects the arm well. Anderson advances nicely into full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Anderson lands with some vicious ground and pound - can The Hawk hang on? Anderson looking to finish The Hawk with some ground and pound. This is bad for The Hawk! The Hawk is squirming around, avoiding Anderson's attempts to control the action. The Hawk holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Anderson tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Anderson thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing The Hawk to regain full guard. The Hawk utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Anderson tries to work over The Hawk's front leg with a kick but The Hawk checks it. Horus The Hawk seems to be getting the better of the standup. The Hawk ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Anderson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Anderson lands in his opponent's guard. The Hawk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Anderson is one step ahead there. Anderson scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
And that's the end of the fight! Anderson Anderson showed his dominance in that final round. I think Anderson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
