The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veloso tries to keep at a distance but Emelianenko has taken the fight into the clinch.
Veloso has Emelianenko pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Emelianenko manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Veloso wants a takedown.
Emelianenko breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Emelianenko moves into the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Emelianenko scores with a nice short uppercut.
Veloso can't get the takedown.
Mirko Emelianenko has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Veloso.
Emelianenko lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Veloso is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Veloso takes a knee right on the jaw!
Veloso has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Emelianenko is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Emelianenko lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Veloso looks gassed!
Emelianenko escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Emelianenko lands a left and a right that send Veloso crashing to the mat, dazed. Emelianenko thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Douglas Veloso has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Emelianenko moves into range and clinches up with Veloso.
Emelianenko prevents the takedown attempt.
Emelianenko lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Veloso backwards.
Veloso is rocked!
Emelianenko putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Veloso in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Veloso is still on wobbly legs! Can Emelianenko finish him?

Emelianenko pushes Veloso against the cage. Emelianenko is working some dirty boxing. Emelianenko pushes off with a quick right hook! Veloso goes down! Veloso tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Emelianenko moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
