Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lindros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker comes into a darkened arena with his song building. It's Amazing by Kanye West kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Eric Lindros!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cain Slyker!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slyker loads up on a big right hand but Lindros slips the punch.
Lindros looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Slyker throws out a loose jab but Lindros uses good head movement to avoid it.
Slyker misses with a double jab.
Lindros dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Slyker. That did some damage!
Nice jab there from Lindros.


It looks like Cain Slyker has been cut.
Lindros scores with a jab to the head.
A punch combination from Slyker misses.
Lindros throws a head kick that misses.
Lindros motions for Slyker to come forward. Lindros throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Lindros feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Slyker's calf.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lindros's corner calls for a 1-2. Lindros obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Slyker slips a jab and a cross from Lindros.
Lindros lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Slyker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Lindros sprawls well initially but Slyker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Lindros trying to hold on to Slyker's head to control him but Slyker postures up.
Lindros gets back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lindros seems keen to control Slyker's posture.
Lindros wants to sweep here but Slyker controlling him for the moment.
Lindros has his hands on Slyker's head, controlling the position.
Slyker postures up and lands a big shot to Lindros's brow.
Lindros is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Slyker distracts Lindros with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lindros wants to sweep here but Slyker controlling him for the moment.
Slyker content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Lindros manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Slyker manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lindros accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lindros wants to stand but Slyker is controlling his posture from full guard.
Slyker is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Slyker wants to sweep here but Lindros controlling him for the moment.
Lindros wants to get up but he can't break Slyker's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Slyker can't keep his opponent in guard - Lindros advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Lindros wants to take a breather but Slyker is having none of it.

Lindros postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Slyker to stand up.
Eric Lindros is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Slyker walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Slyker misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Slyker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lindros circles away quickly and effectively.
Slyker moves into range and connects with a jab.
Lindros throws a hook but Slyker avoids it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Slyker moves out of range as Lindros strikes.
The fighters circle momentarily. Lindros darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Slyker is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lindros's half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Slyker thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Lindros manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Lindros swings for the body but Slyker moves out of range.
Slyker scores with a jab. Lindros acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Nice sprawl there from Lindros as Slyker shoots in.
Lindros looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Lindros tries a head kick but it misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Slyker throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Slyker on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Slyker looks gassed!
Lindros lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Lindros dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Cain Slyker's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Lindros misses with a body shot.
Lindros throws a jab when Slyker was well out of range.
Lindros fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
A bone on bone clash there as Slyker blocks the leg kick.
Lindros keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lindros throws a jab but it's blocked by Slyker.
Lindros lands a nice looking body shot.
Slyker displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lindros throws out the jab.
Lindros ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lindros throws an overhand right that lands on Slyker's shoulder, as Slyker tries to avoid the shot.
Slyker is breathing heavily.
Slyker bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Eric Lindros is winning the standup battle so far.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lindros! Slyker is out on his feet! Lindros rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Slyker is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Slyker is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Eric Lindros!
