Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Willy Cody (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Tysoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tysoon has chosen Flipsyde - Someday as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Tysoon!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Paul Tew and James Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tysoon looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Cody!
Cody squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Tysoon swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Cody is now in Tysoon's guard. A big mistake from Tysoon there, giving up the dominant position!
Cody will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tysoon is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Cody pulls his head out easily.

Cody takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Tysoon is wriggling around trying to escape.

Cody prevents Tysoon from getting the reversal.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Cody wants to stand but Tysoon has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Willy Cody just wasn't active enough.

Tysoon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cody was covering up waiting for the punch and Tysoon finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Cody wants to stand up but Tysoon is controlling him.

Tysoon has gone for a leg lock! Cody slips out almost immediately though and dives into Tysoon's guard.

Tysoon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Cody is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Tysoon.

That was a close round but I would say that Willy Cody will probably get the nod.

Tysoon changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cody looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Tysoon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Cody has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Tysoon but great work by Cody.

Tysoon shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Tysoon is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cody is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cody has escaped and now he's on top!

Willy Cody overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Tysoon throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Cody escapes and throws Tysoon's legs to the side, diving into side control!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Tysoon fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Cody avoids it really well and circles away.
Tysoon takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Cody throws a head kick that misses.

Tysoon jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Cody is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Cody and Tysoon has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Cody is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Tysoon has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Tysoon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tysoon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Cody wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Tysoon bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Tysoon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cody can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cody is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Tysoon's shoulder. That is not cool.

Tysoon is looking for a sweep.
You can see the frustration on Tysoon's face as Cody controls the position.
Tysoon is looking to reverse the position.

Cody decides to stand up, so the ref orders Tysoon to his feet.
Tysoon fails with the takedown.
Willy Cody has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mike Tysoon.

Cody is looking to slow Tysoon down with leg kicks.
Tysoon shoots in for a double leg but Cody sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Cody doesn't manage to clinch there - Tysoon circles away.
Tysoon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Well Cody has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
