Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Ren Mimura and Taro Takaoka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ransom tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rodriquez swivels and escapes.
Rodriquez drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Rodriquez wants to pass the guard but Ransom is keeping the position.
Rodriquez passes into half guard.
Rodriquez tries to pass to full mount but Ransom defends it.
Rodriquez is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Ransom doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rodriquez.
Rodriquez wants to control but Ransom is keeping him busy.
Ransom is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ransom makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ransom.
Rodriquez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Rodriquez looking to sit in guard and control but Ransom gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Rodriquez had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ransom is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Rodriquez Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ransom's back instead.
Well, with Rodriquez on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Ransom is tapping out... Can he escape the position?
Ransom tries to escape but Rodriquez has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Ransom is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rodriquez is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Rodriquez tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Rodriquez has his foot on Ransom's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ransom works his way back into a safe position though.
Ransom slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Ransom wants to control from the top but Rodriquez keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rodriquez looking for a guillotine here but Ransom defends easily.
Ransom wants to pass the guard but Rodriquez is keeping the position.
Ransom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodriquez on the ground.
Rodriquez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ransom's guard.
Rodriquez drops back looking for a leg! Ransom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ransom manages to kick Rodriquez off! Rodriquez jumps back into Ransom's guard.
Ransom working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rodriquez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rodriquez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ransom can't keep his opponent in guard - Rodriquez advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Ransom wants to improve his position but Rodriquez is controlling well.
Rodriquez has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ransom defend it? Rodriquez steps over the head and cranks it - Ransom is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Rodriquez!
