Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Henri Hasu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, rinalds dzirvinskis! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hasu misses with an uppercut. dzirvinskis shoots in for a takedown but Hasu shows good takedown defense. dzirvinskis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hasu is fending him off so far but dzirvinskis persists. Nope, Hasu circles away and we're back to standing. dzirvinskis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hasu but Hasu pushes him off and we're back to square one. Henri Hasu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of rinalds dzirvinskis. Hasu lands a head shot. dzirvinskis bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Hasu misses with a jab, cross combination.

Hasu throws a hook to the side of dzirvinskis's head but dzirvinskis sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. dzirvinskis shoots in for a takedown but Hasu shows good takedown defense. dzirvinskis feints and as Hasu raises his hands in defense, dzirvinskis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. dzirvinskis drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and dzirvinskis jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hasu wants to stand but dzirvinskis is controlling the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. dzirvinskis postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hasu is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of dzirvinskis, into his guard. dzirvinskis wants to stand up but Hasu is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. dzirvinskis has a closed guard, preventing Hasu from standing up. dzirvinskis pushes Hasu off and gets back to his feet.

Hasu fakes high and swings low for a body shot but dzirvinskis manages to avoid it. dzirvinskis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hasu circles away. Hasu throws the left hand but dzirvinskis avoids the punch easily. dzirvinskis shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hasu throws a hook but dzirvinskis avoids it easily. Hasu misses with a body shot.
Hasu is breathing heavily. dzirvinskis slips under a jab. dzirvinskis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. dzirvinskis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Hasu knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. Hasu swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. dzirvinskis gets the takedown into side control. dzirvinskis looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. dzirvinskis swings around for an armbar but Hasu sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into dzirvinskis's guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hasu wants to control from the top but dzirvinskis keeps moving. dzirvinskis wriggles free and stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Henri Hasu will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Hasu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from dzirvinskis. dzirvinskis fails with the takedown. Hasu is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Hasu throws a combination but it was largely blocked by dzirvinskis. dzirvinskis scores with a takedown into Hasu's guard. dzirvinskis thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. dzirvinskis drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hasu looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hasu looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hasu! dzirvinskis is not content to let Hasu control the position. Hasu taking a break here but dzirvinskis is having none of it and regains half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. dzirvinskis manages to escape and get back to his feet! The fighters circling - Hasu throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Hasu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Henri Hasu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. dzirvinskis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Hasu sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten dzirvinskis somewhat. Henri Hasu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of rinalds dzirvinskis. Hasu misses with a looping left. dzirvinskis shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. dzirvinskis is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hasu has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hasu!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hasu is looking to control dzirvinskis but dzirvinskis is wriggling around and keeping busy. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Henri Hasu will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

He catches Hasu napping and manages to drive through into side control! dzirvinskis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. dzirvinskis tries to move to mount but Hasu blocks the move with his legs. Hasu is looking to reverse the position. Hasu prevents dzirvinskis from improving position. dzirvinskis is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hasu has escaped the position, nice work there. dzirvinskis goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Hasu has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for dzirvinskis but great work by Hasu. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. dzirvinskis is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Hasu has taken his back! dzirvinskis holding both Hasu 's hands and preventing any damage. dzirvinskis prevents Hasu from getting a body triangle. I would not like to be dzirvinskis right now.
dzirvinskis is trying to stand back up. dzirvinskis is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hasu throws a series of punches but dzirvinskis avoids them all with ease. Some wild striking there from Hasu.
Hasu throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Excellent takedown into side control there by dzirvinskis. dzirvinskis has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Hasu! dzirvinskis has hold of Hasu's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hasu manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
dzirvinskis looking to secure an arm triangle but Hasu defends it well. dzirvinskis quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for dzirvinskis but it's paid off an Hasu is forced to tap! Nice work by dzirvinskis.
