Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Black Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Nickols (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nickols has chosen steady mobbin as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Caesar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Caesar showed some decent athleticism there. Caesar escapes and gets back to his feet. Caesar misses with the combination.
Nickols misses with a takedown attempt and Caesar counters with a good low kick that Nickols was not able to check. Caesar misses with a low kick.
Caesar is looking to clinch. Nickols throws a head kick that misses. Nickols closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Caesar gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Nickols.

Nickols jumps guard but Caesar stands there with Nickols around his waist. Nickols gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Black Caesar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Greg Nickols. Nickols is working for takedown but Caesar is calmly controlling the position for now. Caesar is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Caesar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Nickols has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Caesar avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Caesar has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Nickols uses from the top position. Nickols loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Caesar looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Nickols trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Caesar manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Nickols can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Caesar controls the pace. Caesar postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Caesar wants to pass the guard but Nickols is keeping the position. Nickols looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Caesar is stalling in the full guard. Caesar stopping the sweep attempt from Nickols. Nickols looks gassed! Nickols keeping full guard, as Caesar tries to pass.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Nickols avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nickols tries to keep at a distance but Caesar has taken the fight into the clinch. Caesar fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Caesar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Nickols goes for a takedown in the clinch but Caesar prevents it.
Nickols has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Caesar is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Caesar lands a body shot. Nickols has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Caesar uses from the top position. Caesar stopping the sweep attempt from Nickols. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Nickols can't keep his opponent in guard - Caesar advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Caesar passes to side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee asks Caesar politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Caesar prefers to stall for the moment though. Nickols is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Caesar has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nickols tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Nickols tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Nickols squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. You get the feeling that Nickols really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Nickols gets back to half guard. Nickols kicks Caesar off and gets back to his feet. Nickols looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Caesar is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Caesar taking some punishment here, with Nickols in his half guard. Caesar moves into full guard.
Caesar is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Caesar trying to control the action but Nickols is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Black Caesar dominated that round. That's time! Caesar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Nickols tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Nickols throws a right hand that Caesar ducks under and follows up with a left that Caesar also avoids with ease. Caesar tries to clinch but fails miserably and Nickols counters with a lovely straight right hand! Caesar shoots in and drives through. Nickols sprawls well. Nickols feints and as Caesar raises his hands in defense, Nickols changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Caesar is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Nickols postures up.
Caesar thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Caesar tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nickols wants to stand but Caesar is controlling his posture from full guard. Nickols has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Caesar to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nickols is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Caesar pulls down on the head and he's put Nickols to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Black Caesar!
