The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakura bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Watanabe is trying to improve his position.
Sakura tries for a kimura but Watanabe is defending well.
You can see the frustration on Watanabe's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Watanabe manages to get back to half guard.
Sakura is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Watanabe is just riding it out for now. Sakura eventually gives up the hold.

Sakura has gone for a leg lock! Watanabe slips out almost immediately though and dives into Sakura's guard.
Sakura is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Watanabe is aware though and is defending well.
Watanabe is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Sakura has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Watanabe is looking to defend but Sakura has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Watanabe! Sakura pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Watanabe taps out and this one is all over!
