0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ali Ahmed! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Paulsen Ambrosius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edgar scores a takedown into full mount! Edgar controlling his opponent. Ahmed is in all sorts of trouble here.
Ahmed is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Edgar controlling from mount. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Ahmed working to try and regain half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Edgar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edgar's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Frankie Edgar wasn't doing enough on the ground. Edgar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Edgar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Edgar avoids the attempt from Ahmed to control. Edgar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Ahmed misses with a takedown and Edgar counters with a nice double leg into side control. Ahmed won't be happy with that. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Edgar content just to control the position here. Edgar has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Ahmed misses with a takedown attempt so Edgar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Ahmed trying to keep a closed guard but Edgar is proving a slippery customer.
Edgar is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Ahmed keeping full guard, as Edgar tries to pass.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Edgar shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Edgar showed some decent athleticism there. Frankie Edgar overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Edgar wants to free his trapped foot but Ahmed is holding on for dear life with his legs. Edgar controlling the action here.

And that's the end of the fight! Frankie Edgar showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Edgar, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
