Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carlos Vinicius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolfe comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Devils Never Cry - Devil May Cry OST kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Thiago Cunha and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolfe throws a right hand that Vinicius ducks under and follows up with a left that Vinicius also avoids with ease.
Wolfe misses with a wild combination.
Jake Wolfe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Vinicius shoots in for a takedown but Wolfe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Vinicius pushes Wolfe up against the cage in a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Wolfe - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

enabling Vinicius to counter with a crisp jab.

and Vinicius counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Vinicius wants to control from the top but Wolfe keeps moving.
Vinicius gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Wolfe tries to clinch but Vinicius is having none of it.

and Wolfe counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Vinicius!

Wolfe wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vinicius has him pressed against the cage.

Wolfe breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wolfe gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Vinicius counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Wolfe is defending against the submission attempts here by Vinicius.
Vinicius is looking to take a break and control but Wolfe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Vinicius pivots and extends the arm, Wolfe falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Vinicius! Well done that man!
