The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jurgen slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Sammy Stone has been cut.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jurgen. That's going to slow Stone down.
Jurgen misses with a left hand
and Stone counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Paul Jurgen has been cut.
Stone fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Stone works Jurgen's body with a nice hook.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stone misses with a double jab.
Jurgen misses with an uppercut
letting Stone counter with a right hand.
A decent looking cross lands there for Jurgen.
Stone fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jurgen manages to avoid it.
Jurgen misses with a hook
letting Stone counter with a right hand.
Jurgen throws a sloppy body shot
and Stone counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Jurgen throws a leg kick
and Stone counters with a stiff right hand.
Jurgen throws a combination that misses
and Stone counters with a crisp right hand that drops Jurgen! Stone lets Jurgen back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jurgen throws a poor cross that misses
and Stone makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Jurgen looks gassed!
Jurgen throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Stone counters with a thumping low kick.
Stone cracks Jurgen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jurgen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Stone finish him?
Jurgen is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Stone cracks Jurgen's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Jurgen slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Stone can do further damage! This one is done, son!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sammy Stone!
