Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sandy McSouthers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Power (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McSouthers comes into the arena with VNV Nation - Anthem blaring out of the sound system. Power has chosen X gonna give it to ya - DMX as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McSouthers tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Power was well out of range. Poor timing from McSouthers.
Power throws a body punch but McSouthers moves out of range.
McSouthers blocks a jab.
McSouthers throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Power tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. McSouthers is in Power's guard.
Power has control of McSouthers's left arm, preventing McSouthers from doing any damage.
McSouthers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Power wants to sweep here but McSouthers controlling him for the moment.
McSouthers won't allow Power to get back to his feet.

Thomas Power seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

McSouthers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
McSouthers has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Power is looking for a triangle here but McSouthers uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Power tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but McSouthers presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
McSouthers takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

and McSouthers counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McSouthers.

McSouthers comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Power wants to slow McSouthers down by chopping away at his legs.
McSouthers bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Power's head backwards.
McSouthers wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

enabling McSouthers to counter with a crisp jab.
Thomas Power is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

McSouthers throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Power was covering up waiting for the punch and McSouthers finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Power wants to hit a switch here but McSouthers passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Power there!

Thomas Power has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sandy McSouthers overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Power throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Power trying to control the position from guard on top but McSouthers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Power throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McSouthers works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Well McSouthers has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
