PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick Lenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lenny has chosen Convoy as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Eric Lee has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Eric Lee seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lenny comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Lenny slips under a jab from Lee.
Lee fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Lenny connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lee. Lee circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Lenny misses with a hook.
Lee throws a body punch but Lenny moves out of range.
Lenny takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Lenny keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Lee thows a body shot but no joy.
Lenny thows a left - swing and a miss!
Lenny throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Lee cracks a nice hook into Lenny's ribs.
Lenny lands a jab-cross combination.
Lenny bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Lenny loads up on a big right hand but Lee slips the punch.

Lee tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lenny was well out of range. Poor timing from Lee.
Lee fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lenny avoids it really well and circles away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lee scores with a hook to the body. Lenny takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Lee takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Lee decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Lee seems to be working for a kimura but Lenny defends the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lenny is looking to control Lee's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lenny avoid being mounted?

Lee is trying to control. Lenny wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Lee seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Lee is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lenny doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lee.

Lee is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Lenny still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Lenny has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Lee closes the distance and clinches up with Lenny, looking for a takedown. Lee pushes Lenny against the cage but Lenny circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lee lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Lenny at a distance.
Lee misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Lenny will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lenny throws a jab but it's blocked by Lee.
Lee moves out of range of the strikes.
Lenny throws a right and a left that Lee avoids nicely.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lee needs to keep his hands up - Lenny had a free shot at his head there.

Lee changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lenny looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Lee is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lenny knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Lee stuns Lenny with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
No joy there for Lenny, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lee throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lee changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lenny tries to avoid it but Lee manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lenny to the ground. Lenny escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Lee takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Lee wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Lee has his foot on Lenny's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lenny works his way back into a safe position though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Mick Lenny showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lee prevents Lenny from getting the reversal.
Lee wants to take Lenny's back here but Lenny is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.
Lenny is in all sorts of trouble here.
Lenny tries to hold on but Lee pushes him away.
Lenny keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Lee wants to finish this one by submission but Lenny is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lee.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lee jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lenny is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lenny and Lee has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Eric Lee has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Eric Lee showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Lenny has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
