Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ricky Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and bob lighty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross tries to clinch up but lighty circles away and keeps his distance.
Ross tries to close the distance and clinch but lighty swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
lighty darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ross tries to get to full guard but lighty has control of the leg.
Ross knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for lighty on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ross is controlling lighty's trapped leg to prevent lighty from advancing to side control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ross is trying to control but can't.
lighty wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ross keeps working.
lighty is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ross defends it well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
lighty avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Ross moves in looking to clinch but lighty pushes him off.
lighty closes the distance and clinches up with Ross, looking for a takedown. lighty pushes Ross against the cage but Ross circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ross rushes lighty and presses him up against the cage.
Ross lands a knee to the body.
Ross is looking to break free of the clinch but lighty has double underhooks.
Ross breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ross is looking to improve his position.
Ross regains full guard. Nicely done.
Ross looking for a sweep. Not yet Ross, not yet.
Ross has lighty pulled in close to control his posture.
Ross is breathing heavily.
Ross is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ross wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and lighty is now in half guard.

Ross will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ross is looking to clinch but lighty is avoiding it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ross stuffs the takedown.
Ricky Ross has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of bob lighty.

lighty lands with a nice combination. Ross backs away looking to recover.
lighty fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

lighty swats away the attempt to clinch by Ross.
Ross tries to clinch there but lighty circles away.
Excellent takedown into side control there by lighty.
lighty is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Ross looks calm but he's in trouble here. lighty gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Ross is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! lighty lets go of the hold and Ross can pop his arm back in it's socket.
