PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roland Grant (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Stackhouse (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stackhouse has chosen Every Time I Die - Roman Holiday as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Grant bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

That was a close round but I would say that Roland Grant will probably get the nod.

Grant lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Stackhouse throws a lazy right hand but Grant sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Stackhouse shoots in looking for a takedown. Grant tries to sprawl out of it but Stackhouse keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Grant manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Grant makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Stackhouse fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Grant manages to avoid it.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dave Stackhouse hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Stackhouse throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Grant tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Stackhouse is in Grant's guard.

Grant has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Stackhouse can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

I would just about give that final round to Dave Stackhouse.
I think Stackhouse has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
