These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Incognito showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from garcilaza.
garcilaza fails in his attempt to clinch.
garcilaza rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Incognito moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Incognito takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
garcilaza misses with a head kick.

Incognito drives through and clinches with garcilaza against the cage.

Incognito's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
garcilaza tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Incognito rushes garcilaza and presses him up against the cage.
Incognito digs a right hand underneath garcilaza's ribcage. garcilaza let out a lung full of air as it connected.
garcilaza jumps guard but Incognito stands there with garcilaza around his waist. garcilaza gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Incognito escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Incognito blocks a head kick by garcilaza.
garcilaza throws out a loose jab but Incognito uses good head movement to avoid it.

garcilaza throws a wild body kick that Incognito sees coming a mile off.
garcilaza is breathing heavily.
Incognito throws a nice looking combination but garcilaza bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Incognito scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. garcilaza doesn't seem bothered though.

Incognito feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Incognito thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed garcilaza's head.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Incognito connects with a nice short shot to garcilaza's temple.

Incognito is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Incognito looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks garcilaza with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
