The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Correa shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Nuttall as he jumps to the side. Correa tries to clinch but Nuttall moves out of range. Correa misses with a jab, cross combination.
Nuttall looks to land a left hand but Correa moved out of range nicely. Nuttall changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Correa tries to avoid it but Nuttall manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Correa to the ground. Correa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nuttall avoids a kick to the body.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Wesly Correa hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Correa moves away from the strike by Nuttall. Nuttall darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nuttall ducks under a wild hook from Correa. Correa will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Correa is breathing heavily. Nuttall is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mike Nuttall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nuttall closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Correa quickly recovers to half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Nuttall connects with a nice short shot to Correa's temple. Nuttall seems to be looking for submissions.

Nuttall misses with a takedown attempt and Correa counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Nuttall here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Correa tries to sprawl but Nuttall drives through with a takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Nuttall stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Correa to get to his feet. Nuttall throws a right and a left that Correa avoids nicely. Mike Nuttall overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nuttall working for a triangle but Correa defends it easily.
Nuttall has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Correa is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Nuttall. Correa working away. That's two minutes gone in the round. Nuttall manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Correa wants to get back to his feet. Nuttall gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Nuttall stalks Correa and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Correa's face. Correa staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Wesly Correa has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nuttall throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Nuttall looks to land a left hand but Correa moved out of range nicely. Nuttall thows a body shot but no joy. Mike Nuttall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Correa tries to stand but Nuttall is controlling from the bottom. Nuttall has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Correa should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Nuttall has tightened it up now! Correa should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
