Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Larry Lennox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randolph Duke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lennox comes into the arena with If you want blood-ACDC blaring out of the sound system. Duke has chosen Pink Floyd - Money as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Larry Lennox! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Randolph Duke! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lennox throws out a loose jab but Duke uses good head movement to avoid it. Duke moves out of range as Lennox strikes. Duke decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Lennox is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Duke is looking to take a break and control but Lennox is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Duke is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lennox has managed to free his arm - good work. Duke performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Duke lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Duke is thwarting Lennox's attempts to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lennox avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Duke. Lennox is looking to escape. Duke thows a huge punch but Lennox dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lennox is staying active underneath Duke, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Lennox tries to get to full guard but Duke has control of the leg. Duke looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Duke decides to stand up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Lennox looks to score with a jab to the body but Duke is just out of range. Lennox connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Duke's hands. Duke moves into the clinch successfully.
Duke jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lennox walks away with a smile on his face. Duke gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Lennox misses with a hook. Nice shot lands for Lennox. Duke closes the distance and clinches up with Lennox, looking for a takedown. Duke pushes Lennox against the cage but Lennox circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duke is trying hard to land a takedown here. Lennox sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Larry Lennox has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randolph Duke. A momentary lapse in concentration from Lennox enables Duke to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lennox manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Duke pushes down on Lennox's leg and manages to get into half guard. Lennox actively working from the bottom here. Lennox is trying to get back to full guard. Lennox works his way to full guard. Good work. Duke trying to control the position from guard on top but Lennox is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lennox looking to hit a scissor sweep but Duke is one step ahead there. Lennox keeping moving, preventing Duke from controlling successfully.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Randolph Duke was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lennox missing with a left hand there. Duke was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Duke misses with a hook. Lennox scores with a nice strike. Duke moves forwards but Lennox connects with a nice, crisp jab. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Randolph Duke dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Lennox scores with a nice head shot. Duke wants to clinch. Duke ducks under a wild hook from Lennox. Duke gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Duke cracks Lennox with a nice body shot. Duke fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Duke misses with an elbow over the top. A head punch on the inside from Duke fails to land. Duke goes for a takedown attempt but Lennox pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nice takedown defense from Duke. No joy for Lennox on that attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duke closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Duke jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Duke closes the distance and pushes Lennox back into the cage. Duke drops down looking for an ankle pick but Lennox pulls his leg out and moves away.
Duke ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Lennox moves away. Duke bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Lennox digs a good body shot into Duke's ribs. Lennox has a takedown stuffed. Duke tries to clinch but Lennox moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duke fails in his attempt to clinch. Lennox lands with an overhand left. Duke ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Lennox misses with a straight right. Lennox scores with a one two! Duke had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Lennox displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Duke. Lennox uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. A looping hook to the body misses from Lennox. Duke does a little dance to reset his feet. Lennox misses with a hook. Duke ducks under a wild hook from Lennox. Lennox gets the takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lennox blocks the strikes from Duke.
Duke is trying to control Lennox's posture but Lennox avoids it. Lennox misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Duke manages to work his way to half guard, despite Lennox's best efforts. Lennox is thwarting Duke's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lennox wants to pass the guard but Duke is defending well. Duke slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Duke working for a triangle but Lennox defends it easily.
Duke is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Duke is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lennox is aware though and is defending well. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Duke is on top in guard.
Duke got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lennox has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Duke has managed to get both his arms back between Lennox's legs - danger averted. Duke wants to stand and escape but instead Lennox has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Duke wants to improve his position but instead Lennox has moved into half guard.
Duke is holding on to half guard well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Larry Lennox dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Lennox misses with a takedown and Duke counters with a nice double leg into guard. Duke trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Lennox is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Lennox tries to strike from the bottom.
Lennox bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Duke's guard. Lennox trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Lennox's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Lennox has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Lennox loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Duke is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lennox is aware though and is defending well. Duke looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Duke might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lennox kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Duke takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lennox stands up over Duke, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Lennox throwing strikes from guard but Duke blocks nicely. Duke has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Lennox is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Duke. Duke is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lennox connects with a decent elbow. Lennox scores with punches from side control. Lennox lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Duke down.
Duke takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Duke tries to improve position but can't. Duke taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duke tries to get back to half guard but can't. Duke is trying to buck Lennox off. Lennox cracks Duke with an elbow. That is naaassty. Lennox tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Duke is not content to let Lennox control the position. Duke explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Duke uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Lennox. Jab by Lennox. Lennox avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Larry Lennox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lennox with a hook. Duke keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lennox. Lennox looks to land a right hand but Duke moved out of range. Lennox is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Lennox throws a leg kick but Duke checks it. Lennox fails with a takedown attempt. Duke fails to land the takedown.

and Lennox counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Duke walks into a straight right hand from Lennox. Lennox misses with a leg kick and Duke counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lennox won't be happy with that. Duke decides to stand back up. Duke displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lennox throws out the jab. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A swing and a miss from Lennox. Duke misses the shot to the body. Duke slips a jab from Lennox.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Larry Lennox. I think Lennox has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
