The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jabbar avoids it really well and circles away.
Rasic shoots in looking for a takedown but Jabbar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rasic's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Jabbar suckers Rasic into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Jabbar is now in Rasic's guard!

Jabbar jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rasic is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rasic and Jabbar has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Jabbar is looking to take a break and control but Rasic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Rasic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jabbar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Rasic parries the strikes from Jabbar easily there. Jabbar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Rasic to escape.

Jabbar is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Jabbar gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jabbar gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jabbar apologises and we restart here on the feet.
