6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Denis Rasic! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rasic fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jabbar avoids it really well and circles away. Rasic shoots in looking for a takedown but Jabbar manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rasic's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Rasic looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jabbar! Jabbar suckers Rasic into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! Jabbar is now in Rasic's guard!
Rasic wants to sweep here but Jabbar controlling him for the moment. Jabbar trying to control but Rasic is working from the bottom. Jabbar tries to free his leg and advance position but Rasic is retaining full guard. Jabbar has gone for a leg lock! Rasic slips out almost immediately though and dives into Jabbar's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jabbar jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Rasic is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Rasic and Jabbar has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Jabbar is looking to take a break and control but Rasic is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rasic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jabbar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rasic parries the strikes from Jabbar easily there. Jabbar is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Rasic to escape.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Rasic. Rasic slaps away a takedown attempt from Jabbar, before circling back to the center of the mat. Jabbar shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rasic as he jumps to the side. Rasic gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Jabbar counters with a nice kick to the body. The fight stays on the outside here - Jabbar looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Akimbo Jabbar is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Jabbar shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jabbar lands a couple of decent looking shots. Jabbar forces his way into half guard. Rasic is breathing heavily. Jabbar missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jabbar throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Jabbar sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Rasic defending well though. Jabbar not landing any meaningful shots this time. Rasic trying to control from the bottom.
Jabbar frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Jabbar is landing with some decent strikes but Rasic is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Jabbar throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Rasic because Jabbar loaded up on that one. Jabbar jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rasic manages to avoid the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jabbar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rasic keeps working. Rasic tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jabbar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rasic can do anything to dispel that myth. Jabbar throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jabbar throwing strikes but Rasic manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Rasic working the ground and pound. Jabbar wants to control but Rasic postures up. Rasic prevents Jabbar from escaping the position. Jabbar is looking to regain half guard here but Rasic keeps moving and retains side control. Jabbar is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Rasic off and has taken his back! Jabbar struggling to land strikes to the head as Rasic covers up. Jabbar has his opponent's back and is working for the choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rasic covers up after taking a massive shot to the side of the head.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Jabbar's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Jabbar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Jabbar is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Jabbar gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Jabbar gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Jabbar apologises and we restart here on the feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jabbar tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Denis Rasic seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rasic takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Akimbo Jabbar dominated that second round. That's time! Jabbar's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Jabbar fails with the takedown and Rasic counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jabbar! Jabbar wants to get back to his feet.
Rasic with a couple of short strikes. Jabbar tries to reverse the position but Rasic maintains control. Rasic tries to control but Jabbar wriggling away. Jabbar slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Rasic takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jabbar wants to control but Rasic is keeping busy and won't allow it. Rasic prevents Jabbar from improving his position. Jabbar is looking to control Rasic's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Jabbar avoid being mounted? Jabbar moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Jabbar is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Rasic frees his head nicely. Oh but Jabbar has switched to an armbar! Rasic is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
