Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Stark!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryan Dixon!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dixon cracks Stark with a good jab.
Stark misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Thomas Stark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dixon lands an overhand right.
Dixon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Stark moves away.
Dixon scoring well with a low kick there.
Dixon tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Stark is able to avoid easily.
Dixon is looking to chop away at Stark's legs.
Dixon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Dixon throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Stark sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Stark keeps Dixon at a distance using the push kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stark blocks a head kick by Dixon.

Dixon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Stark stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Dixon thows a body shot but no joy.
Stark tried to score with a low kick but Dixon checks it.
Dixon throws a lazy body kick
and Stark counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Dixon is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Stark ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dixon moves away.
A clash of legs there as Dixon blocks the low kick.
Stark walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Stark has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Stark there as he acknowledges the shot.
Stark moves out of range as Dixon strikes.

Stark throws a shot from downtown. Dixon moves away and avoids it.
An inside leg kick lands from Dixon.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stark lands with a kick to the ribs.
Stark thuds his shin into the meat of Dixon's side.
Dixon looks gassed!
Stark lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dixon circles away quickly and effectively.
Stark throws a sloppy head kick and Dixon moves out of range easily.
Stark throws a lazy head kick
and Dixon counters with a body kick.
Stark lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dixon backs up against the ropes.


It looks like Ryan Dixon has been cut.

and Dixon counters with a good low kick that Stark was not able to check.
Dixon looks to land a left hand but Stark moved out of range nicely.
Stark throws a quick inside leg kick.
Stark thuds a left hand into Dixon's body.
Dixon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stark manages to avoid it.
Dixon uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stark.
Dixon throws a chopping leg kick but Stark manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

and Stark counters with a head kick. That will keep Dixon thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Stark counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Dixon takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Stark lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stark is looking to wear down Dixon with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Stark swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That has opened up Ryan Dixon's cut even more.
Stark uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Stark lands a nice looking kick to the body. Dixon takes a step back to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Dixon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Stark. Stark obviously looking to wear him down.

Dixon throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stark, right into the meat.
Dixon has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Stark.
Stark misses with a hook. Dixon ducked under it nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Dixon might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Stark has got the better of the exchanges.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Stark here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Dixon sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
