Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Synyster Gates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lidel Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Gates might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Nightmare. The crowd seem to be enjoying Castro's choice of entrance music: one blood - the game. Synyster Gates has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Synyster Gates!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lidel Castro!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Taro Takaoka and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Castro misses.
Castro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Castro scores with a jab to the head.
A swing and a miss from Gates.
Castro throws a series of punches but Gates moves out of range.
Gates defending well as Castro loads up on a big left hand.
Gates ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Castro throws a right and a left that both miss.
Gates throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Castro misses with a combination
and Gates counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jab by Castro.
Castro throws a series of strikes that have Gates backpedaling.
A combination from Gates does no damage.
Castro takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Castro throws a jab when Gates was well out of range.
Castro misses with a combination
enabling Gates to counter with a crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Castro needs to keep his hands up - Gates had a free shot at his head there.
No joy there for Castro, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Castro walks into a straight right hand from Gates.
Castro throws a left and a right that both miss
and Gates counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Castro thinking.
Castro looks gassed!
Castro misses with a combination
and Gates counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Lidel Castro has been cut.
Gates lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Gates connects with a right that clearly hurt Castro. He's backed up against the ropes with nowhere to go as Gates proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Castro collapses and taps out under the pressure!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Synyster Gates!
