Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Clifford Harris Jr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Douglas Brown!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brown will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Brown fails with a takedown attempt.
Brown throws a series of punches but Harris Jr moves out of range.
Harris Jr fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brown.
Brown on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Brown.
Clifford Harris Jr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Douglas Brown.
Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Harris Jr fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Brown looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Harris Jr connects with a solid leg kick.
Brown looks gassed!
Harris Jr lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Harris Jr drives through and clinches with Brown against the cage.
Harris Jr lands with a light punch inside.
Harris Jr with a knee to the head.
Harris Jr comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Harris Jr.
It looks like Douglas Brown has been cut.
Harris Jr gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Brown takes an elbow to the forehead.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Harris Jr avoiding damage.
A short uppercut from Harris Jr.
Harris Jr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Harris Jr dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Brown. That did some damage!
Harris Jr lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Harris Jr plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Brown is rocked!
Brown takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Brown is still on wobbly legs! Can Harris Jr finish him?
Brown stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Harris Jr.
Harris Jr connects with a good right hand that stumbles Brown. Brown circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Harris Jr feints a jab and as Brown dips his head, Harris Jr unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Brown right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Brown falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Harris Jr smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Clifford Harris Jr!
