PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jordan Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremi Jeremiski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jordan Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jeremi Jeremiski!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Johanna Lukiainen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Jeremiski looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Jeremiski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Coleman tries to avoid it but Jeremiski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Coleman to the ground. Coleman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Coleman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jeremiski has taken the fight to the clinch.
Coleman tries to pull guard but Jeremiski holds him up against the cage and eventually Coleman drops back down to his feet.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Coleman has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jeremiski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Coleman.

Coleman kicks off Jeremiski and gets to his feet.
Jeremiski shoots for a takedown but Coleman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jeremiski throws a sloppy head kick and Coleman moves out of range easily.
Coleman fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Jeremiski counters with a big head kick but Coleman shrugs it off.
Coleman takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Jeremiski misses with a takedown attempt - Coleman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Jeremiski counters with a leg kick.

Coleman gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jeremiski to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Coleman has momentary wrist control but Jeremiski slips an elbow through the middle.

Jeremiski controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Jeremiski is looking to stand up but Coleman won't let him.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Coleman counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Coleman avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Coleman tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Jeremiski counters with a head kick. That will keep Coleman thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

and Jeremiski counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Coleman is staying active underneath Jeremiski, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Coleman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jeremiski gets to mount! Coleman was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Coleman is looking to improve his position but Jeremiski isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Jeremi Jeremiski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Jeremi Jeremiski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jeremiski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
