The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones shoots in for a takedown but peter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jones feints and as peter raises his hands in defense, Jones changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Jones has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of peter is proving hard to escape from.
Jones gets to his feet - peter follows without any prompting.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jones is looking to work some ground and pound but peter has wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
peter not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jones wants to control from the top but peter keeps moving.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Jones looking to sit in guard and control but peter gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with peter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

peter is looking to take a break and control but Jones is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
