Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dameko Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Bernhard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Bernhard told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Bernhard!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, Franklyn Lucas and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bernhard circles away.
Bernhard swinging wildly here.
Bernhard scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Taylor misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bernhard scores with a decent looking hook.
A cross from Bernhard lands.
Bernhard lands an overhand right.
Taylor is rocked!
Taylor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bernhard paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Oh Taylor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Bernhard.
Taylor seems to have got his legs back now.
Bernhard misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Bernhard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dameko Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bernhard as he jumps to the side.
Taylor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Bernhard sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Taylor somewhat.
A combination from Bernhard does no damage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A punch combination from Bernhard misses.
Taylor shoots for a double leg takedown but Bernhard sprawls well. He's pushed Taylor's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bernhard wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Taylor is breathing heavily.
Bernhard throws a nice looking combination but Taylor bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Taylor takes a shot right to the bread basket.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Taylor. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Bernhard throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Bernhard fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Bernhard steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Taylor is out on his feet! Bernhard sets himself and nearly takes Taylor's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Mike Bernhard!
