The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
austin throws a jab when Pep was well out of range.
austin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pep jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A head kick misses from austin.
austin throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Pep tries to score a power double leg takedown but austin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pep somewhat.
austin misses with a two punch combination.
austin throws a looping overhand right but Pep ducks down to avoid it.
Pep connects with a single shot there.
austin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from austin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Pep lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Pep.

Pep dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

No luck with that takedown attempt from austin.

Pep thuds his right hand into austin's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Pep misses with a jab, cross combination.
A bone on bone clash there as austin blocks the leg kick.
Pep changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
austin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pep closes the distance and lands a one-two.
abby austin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pep catches austin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

and austin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Oh austin is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pep throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends austin stumbling backwards into the cage! austin bounces back off the cage towards Pep, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Pep lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Pep celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Willie Pep!
