Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ratt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre LePew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by Country boy can survive. LePew has chosen Dirty House as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LePew's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hughes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! LePew scrambles back to his feet.
LePew shoots in for a takedown but Hughes shows good takedown defense.
LePew gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
LePew slips a jab from Hughes.
Hughes lands with a right hand.

Hughes throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Hughes shoots in looking for a takedown. LePew tries to sprawl out of it but Hughes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. LePew manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hughes wants to finish this one by submission but LePew is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Hughes.
Hughes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of LePew's face.
Hughes lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

It looks like Pierre LePew has been cut.

LePew is bucking up trying to escape but Hughes cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

LePew is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Hughes.
Hughes throws a hook but LePew avoids it easily.
LePew with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Hughes to score with a decent uppercut.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Hughes connects with a nice short shot to LePew's temple.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
