Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Johnson!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Jorge Garcia and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots for a takedown but Kerr saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kerr on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Johnson wants to clinch up but Kerr keeps it at a distance.
Kerr lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Kerr tries to close the distance and clinch up but Johnson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Johnson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Kerr has a couple of punches blocked by Johnson.
Kerr fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Johnson misses with a knee strike.

Horrible takedown by Johnson or perhaps it was just good defense by Kerr which made him look bad.

and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Kerr backing up. Kerr nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.

Kerr wants to stand but Johnson is controlling the position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anthony Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Anthony Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
