5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Moni Cvetkov! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, John Roberts and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Davidson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Davidson wants it to stay on the feet. Cvetkov misses with a takedown attempt - Davidson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Cvetkov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Aaron Davidson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moni Cvetkov. Davidson plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Cvetkov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Cvetkov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Davidson is keeping the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Davidson has closed the distance and engaged Cvetkov in a clinch.

Davidson fails in his attempt to clinch.

Davidson throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Davidson throws a hook but Cvetkov avoids it easily. Davidson scores with a head kick.
Davidson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Cvetkov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Davidson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Cvetkov looks for a takedown but Davidson sprawls well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Davidson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That has opened up Moni Cvetkov's cut even more. Davidson tries a head kick but it misses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Cvetkov or perhaps it was just good defense by Davidson which made him look bad. Cvetkov gets tackled into the cage by Davidson. Davidson maintains the clinch. Davidson misses with a body punch.
Davidson is pressed up against the cage. Cvetkov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Davidson down to the mat. Davidson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Davidson misses with a head kick.

Moni Cvetkov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Cvetkov. Davidson throws a quick inside leg kick. Davidson is looking to clinch. Davidson lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Davidson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A momentary lapse in concentration from Davidson enables Cvetkov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Davidson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Cvetkov trying to control but Davidson is working from the bottom.

Cvetkov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Davidson is just riding it out for now. Cvetkov eventually gives up the hold. Cvetkov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cvetkov is trying to control the action in half guard but Davidson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cvetkov content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Moni Cvetkov. Cvetkov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davidson was covering up waiting for the punch and Cvetkov finishes the takedown easily into guard. Davidson can't keep his opponent in guard - Cvetkov advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cvetkov in particular looking to stall. Davidson is refusing to be controlled, as Cvetkov sits in half guard. Cvetkov not landing any meaningful shots this time. Aaron Davidson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Cvetkov controlling the action here. Cvetkov seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Davidson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Moni Cvetkov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Moni Cvetkov. Davidson leaves Cvetkov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Cvetkov fails with the takedown. Aaron Davidson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Moni Cvetkov. Cvetkov looks to score with a jab to the body but Davidson is just out of range.
And that's the end of the fight! Moni Cvetkov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Davidson has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
