Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gabriel Castellini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shamil Basaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castellini's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hey Superstar - Madina Lake. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Castellini misses with an attempted mid kick.
Castellini misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Basaev shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Castellini sprawls well. Castellini wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Basaev gets slowly back to his feet.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Castellini tries to clinch but Basaev is having none of it.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Basaev changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Castellini tries to avoid it but Basaev manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Castellini to the ground. Castellini escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Nice uppercut lands for Castellini. That snapped Basaev's head back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Basaev takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Castellini doesn't manage to clinch there - Basaev circles away.
Shamil Basaev is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Basaev takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Castellini fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Basaev.
Basaev slips a jab and a cross from Castellini.
Basaev sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Basaev takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Basaev closes the distance and clinches up with Castellini, looking for a takedown. Basaev pushes Castellini against the cage but Castellini circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Castellini throws a right and a left that Basaev avoids nicely.
Basaev has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Castellini.
Castellini is looking to clinch but Basaev is avoiding it.

Basaev avoids the head kick by Castellini.
Basaev circles away from the clinch attempt.
Castellini throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Basaev shoots in and bounces Castellini off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Basaev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Basaev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Castellini, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
