The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voltz darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Voltz takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
It looks like Blaine Demono has been cut. Demono is trying to get back to full guard. Voltz missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Voltz not landing any meaningful shots this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Demono avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Voltz. Demono knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Voltz on the ground. Demono taking some punishment here, with Voltz in his half guard. Voltz winds up and cracks Demono with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Blaine Demono's cut is getting worse.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Blaine Demono's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
