Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boris Spetznaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vadim Matroskin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vadim Matroskin will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Boris Spetznaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vadim Matroskin! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spetznaz gets a clinch. Matroskin tries to circle away but Spetznaz has him pinned against the cage. Nice body punch from Spetznaz - that landed with a thud.
Matroskin is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Spetznaz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Spetznaz has clasped his hands together around Matroskin's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Matroskin is trying to control Spetznaz's posture but Spetznaz avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A lull in the action here as Spetznaz stalls from top position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Spetznaz tries to move into full mount but can't pass Matroskin's legs. Spetznaz in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Spetznaz tries to advance to mount but can't. Spetznaz lands a few punches from side control. Matroskin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spetznaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Matroskin wants to control but Spetznaz postures up. Spetznaz lands a few punches from side control. Matroskin prevents Spetznaz from improving position. Spetznaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Matroskin being controlled for a moment. Spetznaz scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Matroskin to see if he's OK. Spetznaz working the ground and pound. Spetznaz wants to control but Matroskin is keeping him busy. Matroskin tries to control but Spetznaz manages to take his back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Matroskin rolls, trying to escape but Spetznaz keeps control of the position.
Good control from Spetznaz. Spetznaz cracks Matroskin with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Matroskin from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Matroskin is rocked!
It looks like Vadim Matroskin has been cut. Matroskin looks gassed! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! I would not like to be Matroskin right now.
The referee is taking a good look at Matroskin as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Spetznaz!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Matroskin turns into Spetznaz and is now in his guard.
Matroskin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Matroskin trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Spetznaz on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Spetznaz tries to get out of the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spetznaz is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Spetznaz is trying to trip Matroskin. He has hold of a leg but Matroskin is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Spetznaz persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Spetznaz slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Spetznaz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Matroskin for as long as he can get away with. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Spetznaz slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spetznaz moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Spetznaz grinds an elbow into Matroskin's temple.
That has opened up Vadim Matroskin's cut even more. Spetznaz working the body and head with strikes.
Vadim Matroskin's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A lull in the action here as Spetznaz stalls from top position. Spetznaz working the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Spetznaz lands a decent elbow from side control.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Vadim Matroskin's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
