Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cody Willis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Austin is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Stone Cold Steve Austin's entrance music. Steve Austin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Cody Willis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Austin! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Willis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cody Willis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Austin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Austin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Willis waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Austin. Willis throws a shot from downtown. Austin moves away and avoids it. Willis throws the left hand but Austin avoids the punch easily. Willis throws a combination that misses and Willis takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Willis takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Willis works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Austin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Austin jabs at Willis's body. Austin tries to score with a low kick but Willis moves his leg out of the way. Willis throws a hook to the side of Austin's head but Austin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. A looping hook to the body misses from Willis. Austin does a little dance to reset his feet. Nice defenses there by Austin. Austin jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Austin lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Austin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Austin is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Austin moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Austin changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Willis looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
That's one minute gone in the round. Austin misses with an attempted head punch from side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Austin working the ground and pound but Willis is defending the strikes. Austin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Austin moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Austin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Austin is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Willis is trying to escape and Austin transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Willis is forced to tap! Nice work there by Austin! Very nice indeed!
