Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mark Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raimo Tikkari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Raimo Tikkari is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mark Spencer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Raimo Tikkari!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spencer blocks a head kick by Tikkari.
Spencer tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tikkari was well out of range. Poor timing from Spencer.
Tikkari finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Spencer fails with the takedown.
Spencer moves out of range of the body kick from Tikkari.
Tikkari connects with a solid leg kick.
Tikkari misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Spencer counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Tikkari wants to stand and escape but Spencer is having none of it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tikkari can do anything to dispel that myth.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tikkari is looking to stand back up but Spencer counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Tikkari.
Spencer trying to control the action but Tikkari is working from the bottom.
Spencer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Spencer looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Tikkari is defending against the submission attempts here by Spencer.
Tikkari keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Tikkari pushes Spencer off looking to stand but Spencer dives back in and keeps control.
Spencer thows a huge punch but Tikkari dodges it nicely.
Spencer prevents Tikkari from standing back up.
Tikkari is in trouble now - Spencer has advanced to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Tikkari wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Tikkari takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Spencer landing shots from mount.
Spencer pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Spencer lands a nice shot to the head.
Tikkari really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Spencer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Spencer is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tikkari to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tikkari shrugs it off.

Spencer goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Tikkari is on top in guard.
Spencer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Spencer pushes a forearm under Tikkari's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Tikkari is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
