Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jozo Martini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Benitez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabriel Benitez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jozo Martini!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel Benitez!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benitez moves in looking to clinch but Martini pushes him off.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Benitez enables Martini to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Benitez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Martini slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
