Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jozo Martini (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Benitez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gabriel Benitez has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jozo Martini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gabriel Benitez! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Benitez moves in looking to clinch but Martini pushes him off. A momentary lapse in concentration from Benitez enables Martini to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Benitez manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Martini slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Benitez keeping moving, preventing Martini from controlling successfully. Benitez wants to stand up but Martini is controlling him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Martini not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jozo Martini just wasn't active enough. Benitez tries for a takedown but Martini circles away easily and Martini counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Martini. Benitez wants to get back to his feet but Martini is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Martini controlling from the top position. Benitez wants to stand up but Martini is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benitez can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Martini controls the pace. Martini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Benitez swivels though and keeps the full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Martini won't allow Benitez to get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Benitez lands a high kick!
Benitez moves into the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Martini. Martini tightens his grip and picks Benitez up, before dumping him to the ground. Benitez manages to land in guard. Martini prevents Benitez from getting back to his feet. Benitez looks gassed!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martini stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Benitez swivels though and keeps the full guard. Martini is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Jozo Martini just wasn't active enough. Benitez walks into a jab. Martini moves away from the strike by Benitez. Martini looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Benitez keeping moving, preventing Martini from controlling successfully. Martini not doing a lot at the moment. Jozo Martini has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Benitez digs a good body shot into Martini's ribs. Martini moves into the clinch. Martini wants the takedown. Benitez is fighting it off but Martini persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Benitez's guard against the cage. Benitez wants to stand up but Martini is controlling him. Benitez wriggles free and stands up. Benitez connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Martini circles away from the clinch attempt so Martini counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Martini trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Benitez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Martini is controlling him. Martini content to stall in guard here. Benitez is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Martini tries to free his leg and advance position but Benitez is retaining full guard. Martini's corner is telling him to maintain position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jozo Martini dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A bone on bone clash there as Martini blocks the leg kick.
Benitez misses with a straight right. Martini takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Benitez tries for a takedown but Martini circles away easily and Martini counters with a takedown into side control. Benitez wants to get back to his feet. The strikes coming from Martini are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Martini controlling the position from side mount. Jozo Martini overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Benitez tries to escape but Martini is in control. Benitez is breathing heavily. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Martini scores with a couple of short elbows. Benitez wants to get back to his feet but Martini drags him back down. Martini postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Martini is working Benitez over with some ground and pound from side control. Martini controls the position. Benitez is trying to get back to his feet. Benitez takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Benitez wants to get back to his feet. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Benitez tries to escape but Martini is in control. Benitez takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Martini is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Benitez will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Martini can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Benitez is looking to escape. Martini thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Benitez wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Martini controlling the pace for now. Martini's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. BOOM! Martini connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Martini gets the takedown into side control. Benitez takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Benitez prevents Martini from moving into mount. Benitez wants to get back to his feet but Martini drags him back down. Martini is looking to take a break and control but Benitez is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Martini controls the position. Benitez is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Martini tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Gabriel Benitez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Benitez squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

And that's the end of the fight! Jozo Martini showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Martini, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
