Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenshin Himura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock Edward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenshin Himura has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kenshin Himura! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brock Edward! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Himura feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Edward looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Edward keeping busy on the bottom but Himura has passed one foot through into half guard.
Edward makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Himura avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Himura shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Himura throws a push kick but Edward slaps the foot to one side. Himura drives through and clinches with Edward against the cage.
Edward tries to pull guard but Himura holds him up against the cage and eventually Edward drops back down to his feet.
Edward has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Himura uses from the top position. Edward has his foot on Himura's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Himura works his way back into a safe position though. Himura wants to control from the top but Edward keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Himura wanted to stand there but Edward had control of the position. Edward keeping moving, preventing Himura from controlling successfully. Edward seems keen to control Himura's posture. Edward looking for a guillotine here but Himura defends easily.
Edward keeping full guard, as Himura tries to pass. Edward should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Himura trying to control but Edward is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Himura is looking to work some ground and pound but Edward has wrist control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Himura fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Himura misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenshin Himura. That's going to take a lot out of him. Himura is breathing heavily. Edward tries for a takedown but Himura circles away easily so Himura counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Edward trying to control the position.
Himura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Edward swivels though and keeps the full guard. Himura tries to stand but Edward is controlling from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edward kicks Himura off and gets to his feet. Himura tries for a takedown but Edward circles away easily and Edward moves into the clinch. Edward pulls Himura into guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Edward holds on and takes a little breather. Edward's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Edward throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Edward thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Himura trying to control the position from guard on top but Edward is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Himura prevents Edward from getting back to his feet. Himura works a leg free and moves into half guard. Himura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Edward's head. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Edward can do anything to dispel that myth. Himura is taking a breather. Edward says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Edward makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Edward looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Himura! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Himura is wriggling around trying to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Brock Edward will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Himura has a takedown stuffed. Edward bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Himura moves into the clinch successfully.
Edward gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Edward gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Himura closes the distance and clinches. Edward gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Edward slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. You can see the frustration on Himura's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Edward wants to control but Himura is keeping him busy. Edward postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That's one minute gone in the round. Edward is putting a hurting on Himura here, landing some big shots from side control. Himura is pushing Edward's head away, looking to escape. Edward manages to hold on to the position though. Himura wants to control but Edward postures up. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Himura regains half guard there - taking advantage of Edward's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Edward throwing shots but Himura is blocking nicely. Edward decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Edward wants to clinch. Jab, jab by Himura - just one landing. Edward showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Himura.

and Edward counters with an inside leg kick. Himura really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Edward closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Himura to the mat! Himura manages to get full guard. Edward controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Himura manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Edward manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Himura stands up and waves to Edward to follow him. Himura gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Edward moves into the clinch. Edward tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Himura lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Edward backwards. Edward tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Himura just stands there and leans against the cage. Himura digs a right hand into Edward's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Edward's gas tank. Himura manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Himura breaks from the clinch.
Edward tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Himura paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kenshin Himura is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Himura decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Himura seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Edward is rocked! Himura not doing much here.
Himura is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Edward is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
