Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charles Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meng Huo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charles Gunn! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Meng Huo! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Steve Erwin and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Huo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Huo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gunn but Gunn pushes him off and we're back to square one. Huo dodges the punch combination from Gunn.
Huo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gunn sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Gunn's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Gunn duly obliges.
It looks like Meng Huo has been cut. Gunn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gunn throws a series of punches but Huo moves out of range. Gunn works the jab nicely. Charles Gunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gunn misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Huo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Huo controls from within his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Huo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Charles Gunn. Gunn swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Gunn lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Huo circles away quickly and effectively. No joy there for Gunn, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Huo eats them both and turns towards Gunn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Gunn throws a nice looking combination but Huo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Gunn ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Gunn swinging wildly here.

That has opened up Meng Huo's cut even more. Huo dives in and grabs Gunn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gunn pushes down on Huo's head and hops out. Charles Gunn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Meng Huo. Huo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gunn tries to avoid it but Huo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gunn to the ground. Gunn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. The crowd cheers as Gunn lands an impressive looking overhand right. Huo doesn't seem phased though. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Huo on the wrong end of a nice jab. Some wild striking there from Gunn.
Gunn lands with a nice body punch. Gunn goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Gunn rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Huo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Huo avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huo ducks right into an uppercut from Gunn. Gunn fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gunn scores with a nice strike. Gunn tries to bum rush Huo with a series of wild strikes but Huo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gunn shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Huo eats them both and turns towards Gunn to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
The cut above Meng Huo's eye is starting to cause him problems now. A jab lands there for Gunn. Gunn lands a two punch combo.

Meng Huo's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. This has been an exciting period of action! Gunn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Huo has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Gunn pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Huo back to the cage. Gunn follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gunn jabs at Huo's body. Gunn lands a jab to the head.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Meng Huo's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
