Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between stephan evurts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Simon McMaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). evurts kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Welcome to the Jungle. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Simon McMaster! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McMaster decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. evurts is trying to stand up here but McMaster is controlling him well. McMaster tries to pass to full mount but evurts defends it. McMaster is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McMaster lands with a punch from half guard. evurts looks like he's trying to stand up.
McMaster is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and evurts defends it well. McMaster is looking for submissions but instead, evurts has regained full guard.

McMaster drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McMaster prevents evurts from escaping the position. McMaster looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. McMaster tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. McMaster throwing strikes but evurts manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! McMaster with a poor takedown and evurts counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in McMaster's guard now. McMaster looking to sweep here. No luck so far. McMaster working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from evurts. McMaster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. evurts has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. McMaster controls evurts momentarily but evurts frees himself. McMaster had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. evurts defends it easily. Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! evurts leaves McMaster with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. evurts fails in his attempt to clinch. McMaster closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming evurts to the mat! evurts manages to get full guard. McMaster scoring with some ground and pound. evurts is working an open guard so McMaster takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. evurts defends well against a solid takedown attempt from McMaster. stephan evurts has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Simon McMaster. McMaster showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from evurts.

Excellent takedown into side control there by McMaster. McMaster tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. McMaster is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, evurts has escaped the position, nice work there.

That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McMaster has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! McMaster is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if McMaster hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
