Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patrick Fletcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Diego Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Patrick Fletcher!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fletcher fails with a takedown attempt.
Carter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fletcher moves in looking to clinch but Carter pushes him off.
Carter avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Danga de danga de dang - Carter scores with a four punch combination!
Carter keeps the fight on the outside.
Fletcher misses with a low kick.
Fletcher fails in his attempt to clinch.
A combination from Fletcher does no damage.
Fletcher throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Fletcher misses with the combination.
Carter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Fletcher counters with a one-two to the body.

Carter throws a sloppy head kick and Fletcher moves out of range easily.
A head kick by Carter misses

and Fletcher counters with a nice double leg into side control. Carter won't be happy with that.
Fletcher tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Carter can't do much from the bottom here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fletcher wants to stand but Carter is controlling his arm.
Carter sneaks back into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fletcher seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Carter looks like he's trying to stand up.
Fletcher tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Carter.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fletcher is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Carter manages to get to full guard.
Fletcher wanted to stand there but Carter had control of the position.
Fletcher looks gassed!
Carter is pulling down on Fletcher's head. It's preventing any offense from Fletcher, at least for the moment.
Fletcher wants to stand but Carter is controlling his posture from full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Carter pulls Fletcher in close to prevent any damage.
Fletcher is looking to stand up but Carter won't let him.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carter misses with a jab, cross combination.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Patrick Fletcher dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Horrible takedown by Fletcher or perhaps it was just good defense by Carter which made him look bad.
Carter keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Fletcher.
Fletcher scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Carter is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Fletcher lands a nice hook to Carter's body. Carter takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Fletcher tries to work over Carter's front leg with a kick but Carter checks it.
Carter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carter on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Fletcher feints a jab promting Carter to slip. Fletcher then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Carter slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fletcher tries to close the distance and clinch but Carter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Diego Carter is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Carter with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fletcher to score with a decent uppercut.
Horrible takedown by Fletcher or perhaps it was just good defense by Carter which made him look bad.
Fletcher avoids the head kick by Carter.

Fletcher shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Fletcher is breathing heavily.

Carter makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Carter tries a head kick but it misses.

Carter fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fletcher manages to avoid it.
Patrick Fletcher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Carter throws a right hand that Fletcher ducks under and follows up with a left that Fletcher also avoids with ease.
Carter on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Fletcher shoots in for a takedown but Carter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Diego Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Patrick Fletcher.
Fletcher avoids the head kick by Carter.
Fletcher is looking to clinch.
Diego Carter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Carter throws a lazy head kick
and Fletcher counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Fletcher throws a series of punches but Carter avoids them all with ease.
Carter throws a right and a left that both miss.
Fletcher misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Fletcher shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carter but Carter pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fletcher tries to clinch up but Carter circles away and keeps his distance.

and Carter counters with a head kick that wobbles Fletcher - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Carter sends him down. This one is all over!
