Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mattos closes the distance and pushes Griffin back into the cage.
Griffin working hard to break the clinch.
Griffin tries to throw a body punch but Mattos avoids it by throwing Griffin back against the cage.
Mattos has had enough of the clinch but Griffin keeps him there for the moment.
Griffin manages to break the clinch.
Mattos dodges the punch combination from Griffin.
Griffin drops his hands momentarily and Mattos takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mattos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mattos thuds a left hand into Griffin's body.
Griffin avoids the head kick by Mattos.
Griffin misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

That kick from Mattos tenderised Griffin's leg. Griffin is trying to keep his angry face on.
Griffin throws a series of punches but Mattos avoids them all with ease.

Mattos throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Griffin on the side of the head.
Mattos throws a right and a left that Griffin avoids nicely.
Mattos drives through and clinches with Griffin against the cage.

Mattos pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mattos lands a left and a right that send Griffin crashing to the mat, dazed. Mattos thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Mario Mattos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Mattos lands with a big right hook that stumbles Griffin - he's out on his feet here! Mattos follows up with another monster hook that separates Griffin from consciousness! Griffin falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Mattos stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mario Mattos!
