Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Stefan Burczymucha! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Billy Do! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Burczymucha throws a half hearted mid kick. Do wants to slow Burczymucha down by chopping away at his legs. Do throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Do throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Burczymucha was covering up waiting for the punch and Do finishes the takedown easily into guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Do trying to control but Burczymucha is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Do passes into half guard. Do is trying to control the action in half guard but Burczymucha is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Do sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Do works a leg free and moves into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Burczymucha is in trouble now - Do has advanced to mount! Burczymucha is wriggling around trying to escape.
