Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Teddy Quoters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wesley Rutten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quoters shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Quoters was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rutten is wriggling around trying to escape.
Quoters throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Rutten because Quoters loaded up on that one. Quoters pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Quoters landing strikes, looking to finish! Rutten wants to hold on but Quoters pushes him away. Quoters takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Quoters lands with some strikes. Quoters could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Quoters controlling his opponent. Quoters's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Quoters working away from the top, dropping strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Quoters looking to ground and pound but Rutten is blocking nicely. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Quoters cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Quoters has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Quoters controlling from the full mount. Quoters is landing with some decent strikes but Rutten is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Rutten is in a horrible position here. Quoters smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Quoters postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rutten looks a forlorn figure.

Quoters has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Rutten's face.

Quoters lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Rutten is bucking up trying to escape but Quoters cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Rutten is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Rutten takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Quoters fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Quoters looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Rutten is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Quoters pulls his head out easily. Quoters seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Quoters lands with a punch from half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Quoters keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Quoters lands strikes from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quoters thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Rutten to regain full guard. Quoters is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Quoters working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Quoters scoring with punches to the head and body. Quoters pushes down on Rutten's leg and manages to get into half guard. Quoters throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Quoters is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Quoters thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rutten's head. Quoters wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rutten keeps working. Quoters is taking a breather. Rutten says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Teddy Quoters just wasn't active enough. Rutten misses with a head kick.

Quoters is squirming around, avoiding Rutten's attempts to control the action. Quoters is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Quoters somehow manages to escape the mount and get back to his feet! Wesley Rutten has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Teddy Quoters is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Rutten throws a head kick that misses.
And that's the end of the fight! Teddy Quoters showed his dominance in that final round. Well Quoters has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
