0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ben Grimm! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, John Roberts and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Grimm keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Grimm throws a series of punches but Kline avoids them all with ease. Ben Grimm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kline gets a takedown into half guard. Kline is keen to just control but Grimm is a slippery customer. Kline prevents Grimm from improving his position. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Kline in particular looking to stall. Kline moves nicely into side control. Kline working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kline trying to control the position but Grimm is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kline looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Kline tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Kline controls the position from side control. Kline advances to mount. Kline working for a submission but Grimm is keeping him at bay.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Grimm is squirming around, avoiding Kline's attempts to control the action. Kline looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Grimm tries to lock up and control but Kline gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Kline content just to control the position here. Kline working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Grimm looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Kline! Submission of the night perhaps?
