Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Srichan Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergey Gribov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pendulum - Propane Nightmares. The key to victory for Srichan Dan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dan tries to clinch but Gribov is having none of it.
Dan uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Gribov.
Gribov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dan fails to land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gribov throws a shot from downtown. Dan moves away and avoids it.
Nice sprawl there from Dan as Gribov shoots in.

Dan has managed to clinch.

Gribov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Dan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
A body shot lands from Dan.
Dan scores with a hook to the body.
Dan digs a right hand underneath Gribov's ribcage. Gribov let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Dan breaks from the clinch.
Dan works Gribov's body with a nice hook.
Gribov takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Gribov misses with a body shot
and Dan counters with a two punch combo.
Gribov fails to land the takedown.
Dan displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gribov.
Dan ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Gribov looks gassed!

Gribov closes the distance and clinches up with Dan, looking for a takedown. Gribov pushes Dan against the cage but Dan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Gribov.
Gribov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Dan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gribov is breathing heavily.
Dan stuffs the takedown.

Dan stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Dan wants it to stay on the feet.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dan comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Nice uppercut lands for Dan. That snapped Gribov's head back.
Dan fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gribov manages to avoid it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dan enables Gribov to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Gribov stays in close to Dan's body and controls the position.
Gribov stops Dan from standing up.
Gribov is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gribov advances to half guard.
Gribov seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Dan blocking the ground and pound attempt from Gribov.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Dan pushes Gribov off looking to stand but Gribov dives back in and keeps control.
Gribov frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Gribov quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Gribov but it's paid off an Dan is forced to tap! Nice work by Gribov.
