Steele lands a high kick!
It looks like Werner Cloete has been cut.
Cloete shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Steele is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Cloete is controlling him.
Cloete slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Steele is pushing Cloete's head away, looking to escape. Cloete manages to hold on to the position though.

Steele is not content to let Cloete control the position.

Cloete throws an elbow but Steele slips to the side and avoids it well.
Cloete tries to move into full mount but can't pass Steele's legs.
Steele pushes Cloete away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Cloete gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Steele is not content to let Cloete control the position.
Steele holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee asks Cloete politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Cloete prefers to stall for the moment though.
Cloete trying to control the action but Steele is working from the bottom.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Werner Cloete has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Steele lands a nice hook to Cloete's body. Cloete takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cloete looks gassed!
Steele fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cloete.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Steele, right into the meat.
Steele's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Steele duly obliges.
Steele moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Cloete has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Steele.
Steele lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Steele throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Cloete's head.
Steele moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Dan Steele is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oooooh!!! Steele has knocked Cloete down with a huge combo! Steele steps away and waves a wobbly Cloete back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Cloete is rocked!

Cloete is still on wobbly legs! Can Steele finish him?

Cloete seems to have recovered his senses.
Steele fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cloete on the side of the head.
Steele uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Steele lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Steele cracks Cloete with a right hand to the side of the head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Steele lands with a slapping head kick.
Steele throws a leg kick which misses Cloete's front leg but catches the back leg as Cloete tries to avoid it.
Cloete takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Steele lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Steele lands a big head kick that sends Cloete tumbling to the mat! Steele takes a step backwards and waves Cloete back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Steele cracks the inside of Cloete's front leg.
Steele connects with an inside leg kick.
Steele fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Steele lands a head kick. Cloete smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Steele lands with a thumping leg kick.
Steele lands a big head kick that sends Cloete tumbling to the mat! Steele takes a step backwards and waves Cloete back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Steele fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Steele throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Cloete.
Steele connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Cloete momentarily.
Steele lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Steele moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Steele lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Steele dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Cloete. That did some damage!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cloete gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Steele bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Steele fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cloete.
Steele lands with a slapping head kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dan Steele dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Werner Cloete's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A chopping leg kick lands by Steele.
Steele misses with the combination.
Steele shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Cloete eats them both and turns towards Steele to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Steele throws a head kick that Cloete semi-blocks.
Steele lands a left and a right that send Cloete crashing to the mat, dazed. Steele thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Steele lands a big head kick that sends Cloete to the canvas! Steele follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
