PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nsir Vlum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hercules mcStrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vlum comes to the cage accompanied by Linkin Park - What I've Done. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by mcStrong.
The crowd cheers as mcStrong lands an impressive looking overhand right. Vlum doesn't seem phased though.
mcStrong connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Vlum misses with a wild body shot.

Vlum connects with a vicious head kick that knocks mcStrong to the floor! Vlum dives in looking for the finish!

It looks like Hercules mcStrong has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
mcStrong is looking to escape.
Vlum controlling the pace.
Vlum prevents mcStrong from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vlum takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

We're going to have a standup here because Nsir Vlum wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Vlum throws a sloppy head kick and mcStrong moves out of range easily.

A head kick lands from Vlum that sends mcStrong to the canvas. mcStrong tries to scramble back to his feet but Vlum brings him back down into side control.

mcStrong is rocked!

Vlum tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Vlum has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
mcStrong is still in real trouble! Can Vlum finish him?

mcStrong seems to have recovered his senses.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Vlum working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Vlum is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but mcStrong is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Vlum is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. mcStrong knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
mcStrong seems a little lost for a moment, as Vlum dominates the positioning.
