Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cole Elliot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Quincy Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elliot comes to the cage accompanied by Party Up. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cole Elliot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Quincy Jones!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Columbo Gatti and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones stuffs the takedown.
Danga de danga de dang - Jones scores with a four punch combination!
Jones throws a hook but Elliot blocks it.
Jones looks to land a left hand but Elliot moved out of range nicely.
Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Jones comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Jones fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Nice defenses there by Elliot.
Jones throws a big shot that misses.
Jones shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Elliot eats them both and turns towards Jones to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Elliot keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Jones.
Elliot on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Elliot uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Jones.
Jones thuds a left hand into Elliot's body.

Jones throws a nice looking combination but Elliot bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Jones motions for Elliot to come forward. Jones throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Elliot misses with a looping left.
Jones misses with the combination.
Elliot ducks right into an uppercut from Jones.

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Elliot has taken the fight into the clinch.

Elliot escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Elliot shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Elliot takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A jab from Elliot misses.
Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones looks to land a combination but Elliot avoids it well.
Quincy Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Elliot throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Nice body punch from Elliot.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Elliot sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A clash of legs there as Jones blocks the low kick.
Elliot checks a leg kick.
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Jones throws a body punch but Elliot moves out of range.
Jones looks to score with a jab to the body but Elliot is just out of range.
Elliot bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Elliot uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones moves into range and connects with a jab.
Jones misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Elliot counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Jones!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Elliot looking to control but Jones is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Elliot content just to control the position here.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Elliot. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jones looks out of his depth in this position - he's holding on tight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones is squirming around, avoiding Elliot's attempts to control the action.
Jones wants to hold on but Elliot pushes him away.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Elliot sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Elliot avoids the attempt from Jones to control.
Elliot prevents Jones from getting the reversal.
Elliot can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jones is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Elliot content just to control the position here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Quincy Jones will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Elliot moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Jones scores with a jab to the head.
Jones misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Elliot throws a wild body kick that Jones sees coming a mile off.
Jones is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.
The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A slow jab from Jones misses its intended target.
Jones scores with a jab to the jaw.
Elliot checks a low kick from Jones.
Jones stuns Elliot with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Jones swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Elliot counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Elliot is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Elliot pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jones is keeping the position for now.
Jones wants to hit a switch here but Elliot passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Jones there!
Elliot thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Elliot has control of Jones's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Jones regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Jones wants to control but Elliot is having none of it.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Elliot looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Jones working to try and regain half guard.
Jones wants to hold on but Elliot pushes him away.

Elliot looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Jones wants to control but Elliot is having none of it.
Jones working to try and regain half guard.
Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Elliot has hold of Jones's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Jones manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Jones is in all sorts of trouble here.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Elliot controlling his opponent.

Elliot is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Jones is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Jones flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Elliot anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Jones and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Elliot slips an arm under Jones chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Elliot has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Elliot is squeezing on Jones like an anaconda would it's prey. Jones fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cole Elliot!
